here are two single instrument arrangment covers from youtube
of songs that are heavily produced, meaning they are pretty much impossible to play live the way they are on the recording (neither has been played live by their respective bands). besides just being well executed, these covers are interesting because they are pure composition, taking away all of the characteristics that make them ‘studio pieces’. this gives us a glimpse at the notational underpinning, the skeleton. finding it sound, to say the least, in both cases is not all that surprising.
